couple of verses come to mind after listening to that video:
Pro 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruits.
Col 4:5 Walk in wisdom toward outsiders, making the best use of the time.
Col 4:6 Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.

and may i add: Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth.
Mr.Mark needs to remember that one once in a while instead of using this kind of spiritual talk as a cloak for his trendy novelty dirt speech in the pulpit.

btw: Did you listen? If you are indicting this video you are forced to indict God as well...Like it or not Mark made his point Biblically.

So what on earth is the problem here? Did not Mark acknowledge he has overstepped the mark at times and is he not learning from his mistakes?
As to this particular bite of video, has he spoken any untruths?? Indeed God has used 'earthy', in your face language to drive His point home.
So again what point are you trying to make Seth???
However may I make a comment to poopemerges. Your strong language within the context of this forum I find offensive and would ask you to think again before hitting the keys to drive home your point. (Interesting name .......... why?)

You are confusing me. Do you agree with Mark or not? I do and that is why I posted the video which is a promotional one from the Desiring God Conference.
As far as David's "Poop is Emergent Too" name...that's just funny.

Maybe as a casual drop-byer I'm confusing your site with others that want to hang drawer and quarter Mr Driscoll. I thought you were posting to illicit condemnation on the bloke. From what I've heard and seen about Mark makes me glad that he doesn't hold back wrt to his theology. May God give him wisdom in his ministry to people whom the majority of us would never get to minister to. (This is not the opinion of my reformed friends who think he's a loose cannon and the whole emergent scene is playing with fire...)

Keith my friend just humor...humor within this context: Some people need to lighten up. They also need to read their Bible...and not depend on a cultural interpretation.
Also this is Seth's site and he likes it when I hit send without thinking...it is very entertaining.
