I think i get what you're getting at; perhaps the message of this cartoon is all too true a lot of times. But i wonder if, perhaps, a plea that this not be the picture of the modern church planter would avoid painting those men and women who are trumpeting Jesus and the gosepl alone with the same broad brush? Just a thought.
I totally get just commenting on what you see - as i said, i'm sure this is prevalent. But is it ALL you see? Do you really see zero church planters trumpeting the One who should be trumpeted, and only those who would trumpet themslves? If that's the case, that sucks, but my emploring to you would be to look harder for good examples of what should be and hold them up in condemnation of those who would seek to trumpet themselves or their church instead of Christ. Again, just my opinion.

Wesley...I just put what I see...and what I see is troubling...hopefully the church planter that is pictured will see it and change.

So I wonder if you have heard of something called a hyperbole? Jesus used them and so did Paul to get his point across.
Come on man.
Is your church void of this?
Did my comment not get approved?
I just wondered what this means. Does this mean that church planters "toot their own horn"? I don't really get it...
Will.
Yeah...oops...glad you came back to see what happened...I accidentally deleted it and blogger won't let me undo that...
The picture is what I see a majority of church planters doing...just tooting the horn of their own church...sad.
