David Bazan, formerly of Pedro the Lion, on ABC News Amplified
Pretty sad story of the former lead singer of Pedro the Lion, David Bazan, as he denounces God and turns to writing lyrics that question everything that Christianity stands for. I wonder how much truth has been spoken to him about the fact of faith, and what that means. I don't know the man, but I pray that his wife would live out 1 Peter 3:1
Likewise, wives,be subject to your own husbands, so that even if some do not obey the word, they may be won without a word by the conduct of their wives

This is extremely sad. Musically, his new album is great, and at some level, it's fascinating to hear his thought processes. But it's just extremely sad to hear someone who knows the truth decide to disregard it. I pray that David will return to Christ and renew his faith one day.
I knew Dave in college and have seen his journey from close up and afar. It really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone who knows Dave, and it shouldn't be of any concern to people who don't. The fact is we all have struggles with the paradoxical nature of the God in the Bible, and Dave has chosen to wear his doubts on his musical sleeves.

Yeah, I don't know David but hear his struggles and he has obviously made them very public and is unashamed.
Although doubts are real, and questions will arise, the way David is taking it to the public has to be spoken against.
Plus his true doubts go against Orthodoxy and, like the reporter said, are heresy.
I really do pray that this is just a time of growth for David and he returns to the faith of the Bible and the cross that was for him.
